Protected public land across Alaska could have been opened to mining and oil and gas development, but we helped to stop it.

A proposed dam on Washington’s free-flowing Chehalis would threaten wild fish. We introduced a plan to protect both salmon and flood-prone communities.

Millions of wilderness acres across the Russian Far East are now permanently protected parks and natural areas.

The Elliott’s 82,500 acres of public land include rare remnant older forests and critical habitat for Oregon Coast coho salmon. Now this forest will stay that way.

In 2020, we launched a powerful coalition called the Oregon Water Initiative, making a difference for salmon streams and water conservation across the state.

In 2022, we saw through the passage of the Private Forest Accord in Oregon which brought durable protections for salmon and cold, clean water across 10 million acres.

We helped to win a national “wild and scenic” designation for a 17.5-mile stretch of the Nehalem, home to some of the Pacific Northwest’s best runs of wild salmon and steelhead.

We came together with people across Alaska to fight back against a proposed mine that would have negatively impacted wild lands.

By supporting the establishment of this sanctuary, we protected protected nearly 100,000 acres in the headwaters of one of the world’s best wild steelhead rivers.
